Detroit Lions to open training camp to public 12 times

ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions announced they will open training camp to the public a dozen times later this summer, including all three joint practices with the New York Giants.

Camp will open July 27. That practice, as well as the one after it, will be open to season-ticket holders. Then each of the next six practices will be open to the public.

All those practices will begin at 9:30 a.m. Gates open an hour early, and seating is on a first-come basis.

At that point, the Lions will take training camp on the road for a pair of joint practices with the Raiders in Napa, Calif.
