The Detroit Lions are finally putting one of the greatest receivers in franchise history in their ring of honor — and, no, it's not Calvin Johnson.
The Lions announced before Thursday's preseason game against the Cleveland Browns that they will induct receiver Herman Moore and defensive linemen Roger Brown and Alex Karras into their Pride of the Lions this fall during an Oct. 28 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Moore played 11 of his 12 NFL seasons with the Lions, and retired in 2003 as the franchise leader in receptions (670), receiving yards (9,174) and receiving touchdowns (62).
