TJ Jones didn’t think much of the news when he called home just before a summer workout at Notre Dame five years ago.
Jones’ father, Andre, a former NFL player, was not even two months into a lifestyle change that saw him drastically alter his diet and drop nearly 100 pounds.
Andre ate grapefruit every morning to get his metabolism going, cut breads and fats out of his diet and studied which foods would help him maintain a healthy lifestyle as he got more involved in the business world.
There were some side effects to his rapid weight loss.
