Detroit Lions rookie tight end T.J. Hockenson won't ever be a hurdling champion, but he's not done trying to leap over defenders on the football field.

Hockenson, who suffered a brain injury in the Lions' Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs when he tried to hurdle safety Tyrann Mathieu, said Wednesday in his first public comments since the concussion that he won't change the way he plays out of fear of injury.

"No, I’m going to go out there and play the game," Hockenson said.
