Chris White is pretty confident the Detroit Lions landed the tight end with the best hands in this year's NFL draft, and it's not the player they took with the No. 8 overall pick.
White, the Lions' second-year tight ends coach, said Tuesday that he considered seventh-round pick Isaac Nauta the most sure-handed tight end coming out of college this year.
"We loved his tape," White said. "He’s very productive. Just really — my opinion, I thought he had the best hands of all the tight ends in the draft. He just was effortless catching the ball, making really tough catches and all that stuff.
