It has been almost 14 months since Taylor Decker tore the labrum in his right shoulder during a pad-less spring practice, and the Detroit Lions left tackle is done looking back and talking about an injury that cost him half of what was supposed to be a breakout 2017 season.
“I’m just happy to be out here now and I’m happy to be out here with my teammates playing football, doing what I love to do,” Decker said after Day 1 of Lions training camp Friday.
Decker’s injury was the first snowball in what became an avalanche of trouble for the Lions’ offensive line.
