Nevin Lawson, who started most of the last two seasons, played with the starting defense in Friday's loss to the York Giants. The Lions opened training camp with DeShawn Shead at the right cornerback spot, and also gave Teez Tabor extended first-team reps in the spring.
Shead did not play against the Giants, and Tabor has had an up-and-down training camp.
