The NFL could make a change to its national anthem policy as soon as next week, and two Detroit Lions players said Wednesday that they don’t have a good solution for protests that riled some fans and put owners on edge last season.
“Obviously, that’s a little bit of a touchy subject,” guard T.J. Lang said at the team’s annual Taste of the Lions event Wednesday. “I’m always going to stand for the national anthem, that’s just me. I can’t really speak on anybody else. I understand the reasons why some guys choose not to and that’s fine.
