The Detroit Lions had a number of injury issues coming into the game against Green Bay, including defensive tackle Caraun Reid's ankle. Combine that with C.J. Wilson and Khyri Thornton being two of the more inexperienced players on the defense and the Lions had to lean a little more on veteran Haloti Ngata in the 27-23 loss to the Packers.
Ngata played 43 snaps against the frequently up-tempo Packers, more than any other defensive lineman on Thursday night. He was on the field for all four plays during the Packers' game-winning drive and appeared gassed at the end of the contest as he battled constant double teams during the lengthy snaps.
