The Detroit Lions filled their remaining spot on the 53-man roster on Saturday afternoon, promoting rookie tight end Isaac Nauta from the practice squad.
Nauta is the Lions 2019 seventh-round pick and has spent all of the season on the practice squad. Though he is listed as a tight end, he has some experience at fullback and that could very well be the reason for his promotion this week.
Earlier in the week, the Lions placed starting fullback Nick Bawden on injured reserve, ending his season for the second straight year because of injury.
