Lions waived WR Alex Chisum and have signed offensive lineman Lemuel JeanPierre

The corollary move is releasing Alex Chisum, who was with the team barely a week. He apparently failed to make a lasting impression.
Jeanpierre was a part-time starter over five seasons in Seattle. He is primarily a center but also has experience at guard. He’s 29 and a product of South Carolina.
With Travis Swanson, Graham Glasgow and Gabe Ikard already on the roster at center and a similarly crowded depth chart at guard that includes Larry Warford, Laken Tomlinson, Geoff Schwartz and rookies Joe Dahl and Chase Farris, it’s hard to see Jeanpierre getting much of a chance to prove himself.
