The Detroit Lions announced on Wednesday morning that they have filled one of their two vacant spots on the 53-man roster. Offensive guard Tommy Kraemer has been promoted from the practice squad and signed to the active roster.
Kraemer fills the spot left by placing Logan Stenberg on injured reserve earlier this week. That gets the Lions back up to eight active offensive linemen on the roster, which allows them to use the roster exemption on gamedays to have 48 players active rather than the normal 46, as long as all eight offensive linemen are active.
