The Detroit Lions have signed former New Orleans Saints tight end Josh Hill, the team announced on Saturday morning.
Hill will reunite with Lions head coach Dan Campbell, who served as his tight ends coach for the past five years. Over that time, Hill developed into a solid run-blocking tight end who would come up with the occasional catch. His best year as a receiver was in 2019 when he hauled in 25 catches for 226 yards and three touchdowns.
Hill was cut by the Saints earlier in March in a move that saved the team about $2.
