The Detroit Lions filled a roster spot with a former first-round pick on Monday.
Offensive guard Josh Garnett signed as a free agent, the franchise announced. Contract terms were note disclosed.
Garnett, who is 6-foot-5 and 305 pounds, played for the San Francisco 49ers from 2016 to 2018 and was released before the 2019 season. He appeared in just 22 games with the 49ers, including 11 starts, after being drafted 28th overall out of Stanford in the 2016 NFL draft.
