The Detroit Lions are bringing back their secondary intact from how they finished last season.
Now they're adding some depth, signing former Jets cornerback Darrin Walls on Tuesday.
Walls has some starting experience, logging 12 starts for New York in 2014. But he was relegated to a reserve role behind Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie last season, registering 10 tackles and three passes defended in 13 games -- no starts -- and will likely occupy a similar role in Detroit.
The Lions bring back top corner Darius Slay, as well as the third-year Nevin Lawson, who started the second half of last season after Rashean Mathis was lost due to a concussion.
