Detroit Lions sign DE Eric Lee in time for Cowboys game

ARLINGTON, Texas -- With Ezekiel Ansah still banged up, the Detroit Lions have promoted defensive end Eric Lee from the practice squad. He is with the team in Dallas and could suit up for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Andrew Donnal, an offensive lineman who never played in a game for Detroit, was cut in the corresponding move.

Lee spent last season in New England after going undrafted out of South Florida. He finished with 19 tackles and 3.5 sacks in six games for the Patriots. He was cut loose earlier this month, at which point the Lions signed him to the practice squad.
