SAN FRANCISCO — The Detroit Lions had two big decisions pending at linebacker this offseason, and on Saturday, they solved one of them.

The Lions signed linebacker Christian Jones to a two-year contract extension, NFL Network reported Saturday night.

Jones, 28, has started every game the last two seasons for the Lions and will play Sunday against the team his father was drafted by 30 years ago, the Oakland Raiders.
