DETROIT -- The Detroit Lions have made a couple moves with a few days to go before their preseason opener.
Detroit has signed cornerback Tramain Jacobs and wide receiver Dez Stewart, the team announced Tuesday. To make room, the Lions cut cornerback Des Lawrence and wide receiver Ryan Spadola.
Jacobs, 25, comes to the Lions most recently from the Canadian Football League, where he played with the Toronto Argonauts last season. Before that, the 5-foot-11-inch, 195-pounder spent time with the Oakland Raiders, New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens after joining Baltimore as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M in 2014.
