It’s exciting when the first Detroit Lions preseason game comes with a flashy touchdown by a newly signed player. One good play certainly doesn’t make a player the next Barry Sanders. We need to remember this is the first preseason game and try not to overreact. One thing that exciting play did show is some possible depth at the running back position.
The play mentioned above is, of course, a 24-yard scamper by Lions’ running back Craig Reynolds that ended with a leap and reach to get the ball over the goal line for the team’s only touchdown on the day.
