As the 2022 NFL draft wrapped up in the desert of Nevada on Saturday afternoon, the Detroit Lions turned to the deserts of Arizona for their seventh-round pick.
Arizona State cornerback Chase Lucas was the Lions' pick at No. 237 overall.
Lucas played five seasons with the Sun Devils, piling up 223 tackles, 28 pass breakups and six interceptions. A captain for his senior season, Lucas was a three-time All-Pac-12 player.
The Chandler, Arizona, native didn’t have an interception last season, but had 34 tackles and six pass breakups.
