HOUSTON -- There was no rush to deal with and no pressure when Matt Prater made a 76-yard field goal during Pro Bowl practice last week. But even if there were, Prater’s batterymate with the Detroit Lions, punter Sam Martin, said he wouldn’t have had an issue with the kick.
During an appearance on radio row Wednesday at Super Bowl LI, Martin said he would “feel good” about sending Prater out for a 70-yard field goal in a game.
“If it was a must-kick opportunity, I think we have a better chance of him making that kick than launching the ball in the end zone,” Martin said.
