As head coach at Syracuse, Paul Pasqualoni used to encourage his team to run the football so long as it was working.
“It’s not rocket ship science, right?” Pasqualoni said Tuesday. “I’d say to them, ‘Let’s run the isolation play and let’s make 4 yards. And then let’s get back in the huddle and feel good about that 4 yards.’ Because if we go 4 yards, 4 yards, now its third-and-2 and I can call the play on third-and-2.
