Hunter Bryant's strong start to training camp has hit a snag.
Bryant, an undrafted rookie tight end, suffered a hamstring injury in practice Saturday and will not practice Sunday, Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia said.
Bryant was competing for the No. 3 tight end spot behind T.J. Hockenson and Jesse James, and was taking a sizable portion of second-team reps with Isaac Nauta being held out of team drills early in camp.
"I think, obviously, there’s a great deal that he does well in the passing game, and we’ve been able to see a little bit of that," Patricia said.
