ALLEN PARK -- Ricky Jean Francois is signing with the Detroit Lions.
Don't be alarmed if you're having a bit of deju vu. Francois was quoted as saying he would be signing with the Lions in March, only to later call that report "fake news." But after going unsigned the last four months, Francois returned to Detroit on Wednesday and has agreed to a one-year deal according to ESPN.
The signing comes on the eve of when veterans must report to training camp. The first day of practice is Friday.
Francois, 31, is a 10-year veteran who is known mostly for his run stuffing.
