Detroit Lions reportedly make a decision at long snapper

The Detroit Lions will have a new long snapper in 2024. According to Dave Birkett, the Lions are cutting incumbent snapper Scott Daly and going with undrafted rookie long snapper Hogan Hatten.

Daly has been the Lions’ snapper for the last three seasons, unseating Lions legend Don Muhlbach in 2021. Muhlbach has since retired as a player and become the Lions’ special assistant of football operations.

While Daly has held the long snapper position for three seasons, the Lions constantly gave him competition in training camp. Last year, he beat out veteran Jake McQuaide.
