For the first two weeks or so of training camp, it seemed like Andrew Adams was intercepting a pass every other day.
Adams had at least five interceptions since the open of camp, including one in the Lions' Week 3 preseason loss to the Houston Texans. But that wasn't enough to win the veteran safety a roster spot Friday as the Lions began trimming their roster to 53 players.
The Lions released Adams among their first waive of cuts.
According to NFL Network, third-year cornerback Teez Tabor also was among those released.
