In order to make room for their incoming draft picks and their undrafted free agent signings, the Detroit Lions released four players on Monday morning: running back Tra Carson, long snapper James Fisher, guard Casey Tucker and punter Matt Wile.
For all four of these players, their path to the 53-man roster was made even more unlikely after the additions made by the team this past weekend.
Carson was likely bumped off the roster after Detroit drafted two running backs in D’Andre Swift and Jason Huntley.
