ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions have reached the 90-man roster limit by adding rookie offensive tackle Brett Kendrick.
Kendrick went undrafted out of the University of Tennessee, where he was a four-year contributor and three-year starter. He split his time at left and right tackle last year, although an ugly concussion marred his season. He suffered the injury in a Oct. 28 game against Kentucky, and was allowed to stay in the game for several more series despite looking wobbly on the field.
He allowed two sacks in seven games last year.
While Kendrick spent most of his time on the outside, the 6-foot-6, 318-pounder also has game experience at both guard positions.
