Detroit Lions re-sign safety Tavon Wilson to 2-year deal

Tavon Wilson tore his bicep in training camp last season and tried to gut through the injury for most of the year.

That decision might have cost him a few potential suitors in free agency, but it helped endear him to the team he was already on.

The Lions on Tuesday rewarded Wilson for his play by re-signing him to a two-year contract. The deal is worth up to $8 million according to NFL Network.

Wilson made 55 tackles, two sacks and one interception in 10 games in 2017, but finished the season on injured reserve after undergoing surgery in December.
