The first preseason game is long over and the Detroit Lions came away victorious with an impressive 23-3 victory over the New York Jets (you can check out the post game comments here). The Lions offense looked great piling up 428 yards against a formidable Jets defense. The running game looked especially sharp, they racked up 193 yards and allowed the Lions to control the time of possession the entire game. However, the first team defense did not look good. The Jets ran all over them and seemed to be able to gain 5 yards whenever they wanted too.
