Detroit Lions practice using helmets without logos following travel issues

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions practiced without logos on their helmets Tuesday during the off-week practice because of travel issues coming back from London.

Detroit Lions head of public relations Bill Keenist said the team had some travel issues returning from England following the team’s 45-10 loss to Kansas City, so some of the equipment is still on its way back from overseas. The most notable thing was the helmets, although linebacker Kyle Van Noy was also spotted without a name on the back of his jersey -- a rarity.

The Lions were also without multiple players during the practice, including Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, Ezekiel Ansah and James Ihedigbo.
