The Detroit Lions veterans report for 2021 training camp Tuesday, and the team is already making roster moves, announcing that veteran defensive tackle Brian Price is opting to retire from the NFL. He has been placed on the reserve/retired list and will not count against the Lions’ 90-man roster limit.
Price has been an NFL journeyman over his six-year NFL career, playing for six teams (including the Green Bay Packers twice) before joining the Lions in the spring. He was originally signed after the team released John Atkins as depth at the nose tackle position.
