Kenny Wiggins showed his value this season as a versatile backup, capable of playing any of three positions on the offensive line.
But Wiggins will head into free agency this spring on a down note after he tore his left biceps in Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Detroit Lions placed Wiggins and defensive lineman Mike Daniels on injured reserve Monday, their 13th and 14th players to hit the list this year.
Wiggins said he'll undergo surgery to repair his biceps Tuesday.
"It’s definitely not (the way I wanted the season to end)," he said.
