With their second pick the third round, the Detroit Lions selected Western Kentucky defensive lineman Brodic Martin at No. 96 overall on Friday night.
Martin, listed at 6 feet 5 and 337 pounds, is a run-stuffing nose tackle.
Detroit traded three picks, Nos. 122, 139 and 168, for the 96th selection. They currently have only two picks on Saturday: a fifth-rounder and seventh-rounder.
Earlier in the third round, the Lions picked Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker with the 68th overall selection.
The Lions' second-round haul was Iowa tight end Sam LaPorta (34th overall) and Alabama defensive back Brian Branch (45th).
