Detroit Lions pick Jackson State LB James Houston in Round 6 of NFL draft

The Detroit Lions are adding more bite to their pass rush.

The Lions took Jackson State linebacker James Houston with second of two sixth-round picks Saturday, No. 181 overall.

Houston tied for second in the FCS with 16.5 sacks last season and finished with 24.5 tackles for loss and seven forced fumbles.

An undersized pass rusher at 6 feet 1 and 225 pounds, Houston started his college career at Florida.

He is the third pass rusher the Lions have taken in their first seven picks.
