Detroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn and coach Jim Caldwell spent part of their Thursday at Clemson, watching a pro day workout loaded with NFL talent.
Quarterback Deshaun Watson could be a top-10 pick in next month's draft, wide receiver Mike Williams will be gone soon after that, defensive tackle Carlos Watkins might sneak into the first round, and cornerback Cordrea Tankersley and running back Wayne Gallman also are interesting prospects.
While it's fair to assume that the Lions have significant interest in one or more of those players -- Quinn and Caldwell don't travel around the country for nothing -- it's also important to remember the Lions, in their second year under Quinn, have made a habit of working out and visiting as many draft prospects as possible.
