At halftime, it appeared things were going the Lions’ way for the second straight week. They not only held a lead over the Buffalo Bills, but the Packers were losing, the Giants were losing, Washington and Tampa were losing, too. Even the Dolphins looked like they may pull off the upset over the Vikings.
But in the end, the Lions couldn’t even take care of their own business. Detroit gave up a six-point lead in the fourth quarter and the offense couldn’t muster a single point after their two-touchdown second quarter.
