Detroit Lions: Offensive firepower running on empty

The Detroit Lions and offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter’s offense got very creative to find the end zone when quarterback Matthew Stafford tossed a pass to left tackle Taylor Decker. Once again, Cooter decided to get creative with the offense after the season was already a lost cause.

Rewind to December 2017 when the Lions ran a play that ended with Stafford catching a 2-point conversion pass from wide receiver Golden Tate against the Green Bay Packers. It was the last week of a lost campaign and missing the playoffs.
