Detroit Lions nearly clear injury list, remove 4 players from NFI

There’s a reason we remind our readers that when a player is placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) or Non-Football Injury (NFI) list, there is no reason to panic. Sometimes those stints just last days. For four Detroit Lions this year, that stint last just hours.

On Wednesday morning, the Lions placed four players on the NFI list: Tre’Quan Smith, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Carlton Davis, and Amik Robertson. By the end of the business day, all four players had passed their physicals and were activated from the list. They are now eligible to practice as soon as the team’s second training camp practice (Thursday morning).
