Detroit Lions defensive end Mike Daniels practiced Thursday for the first time since spraining his right foot in the first half of a game last month against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Daniels has missed three straight games with his injury, and he's likely a long shot to play Sunday against the New York Giants. But with the Lions struggling to stop the run and pressure opposing quarterbacks, they could get one of the key members of their defensive line back soon.
