Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia should have told his boss he once faced an indictment for an alleged sexual assault. He owed that to Bob Quinn, the team's general manager.
Just as Quinn should've done a better job digging into Patricia's past. He owed that to Martha Ford, the team's owner.
All three of them, along with Rod Wood, the team's president, convened in Allen Park Thursday morning to present a united front as Patricia met with reporters to discuss the 22-year-old sexual assault case.
It was, to say the least, uncomfortable.
