ALLEN PARK, Mich. – The Detroit Lions gave their rookies a history lesson Tuesday morning. A mostly positive history lesson.
While that included the founding of the franchise and the history of the Thanksgiving Day game, it likely means some large chunks were left out -- like the 0-16 season in 2008 and that the franchise has yet to reach a Super Bowl, winning only one playoff game since the AFL-NFL merger.
“I mean, it was just the history and obviously around here it’s gonna be positive things,” rookie offensive tackle Taylor Decker said.
