Bo Scarbrough has practiced sparingly through the first three days of training camp and the Detroit Lions' second-leading returning rusher won't be on the field again Friday.
Lions coach Matt Patricia said the team is re-evaluating Scarbrough, who gave the Lions a late-season lift last year with some hard-fought rushing yards.
Patricia declined to reveal the nature of Scarbrough's injury, but indicated the team is trying to manage his workload in advance of their Sept. 13 season opener.
"One thing for us to remember on all of this is that we’re continually trying to build on everybody’s back-to-practice workload, so just trying to be smart with some of those guys, too," Patricia said.
