PHILADELPHIA — Jamal Agnew never lost the faith.
Even with everything spiraling against him following a muffed punt in the season’s opener, then a fumble and subsequent benching last week, he was sure the good times were around the corner.
But probably not even his staunchest supporters would’ve predicted a 100-yard kickoff return to jump start the Detroit Lions’ 27-24 win over the Eagles on Sunday. Tack on a late 24-yard punt return – where his only regret was being tackled by the punter – and Agnew seemed relieved after the game.
