Detroit Lions rookie running back D’Andre Swift has been mostly sidelined for two weeks now with an undisclosed injury. With 12 days until the Lions season opener, it’s beginning to look less and less likely that the 35th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft will be full health against the Chicago Bears.
But he’s coming along. For the second straight practice, he suited up and went through some individual drills, and according to head coach Matt Patricia, Swift didn’t suffer any setback after Monday’s practice. However, his participation remains low, and he’s losing some valuable experience during an already-shortened offseason.
