The Detroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn made the business decision early Friday afternoon to cut veteran and team captain offensive guard T.J. Lang. This left many Lions fans split in their opinions on the roster move. Some believe that it was a good move that needed to happen because his contract cost too much for an injury riddled guard, and others believe it was a mistake because of the veteran presence he brought to the team and the level of play he provided when healthy.
Cutting T.J. Lang saved the Lions around nine millions dollars in cap space.
