The Detroit Lions have sent a clear message during the pre-draft process -- the team is looking for competition for incumbent return man Jeremy Ross this offseason.
On Friday, the Lions hosted William & Mary wide receiver Tre McBride for a pre-draft visit, the fifth player to come to the facility with extensive return experience in college.
The second-leading receiver in school history, McBride led the Tribe in receptions each of the past three seasons. For his college career, he tallied 196 catches for 2,653 yards.
