Detroit Lions host Frankie Luvu on visit, in 'fine-tuning stage' of draft

The Detroit Lions spent part of free agency revamping their linebacking corps, and they might not be done at the position yet.

Washington State linebacker Frankie Luvu made a pre-draft visit to the Lions' Allen Park practice facility on Tuesday.

Luvu was a two-year starter for the Cougars and had 48 tackles and 6.5 sacks as a rush linebacker last season.

He's considered a potential Day 3 draft pick, and could play a similar role in new coach Matt Patricia's defense to the one the Lions forecast for Devon Kennard.

Lions general manager Bob Quinn said Monday the team had used eight of its 30 allotted pre-draft visits.
