ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions continued to do their homework on this year's running class by hosting Kerryon Johnson on Tuesday for an official draft visit.
Johnson once was one of the most prized high school recruits in the country, though it took him some time to show it after choosing Auburn over Alabama and a host of others. He finally emerged as the workhorse last year, carrying the ball 285 times. That was ninth most in the country.
He averaged 115.9 rushing yards per game, which ranked 15th, and he was one of just five draft-eligible running backs who broke at least 50 tackles according to ProFootballFocus.
