D.J. Humphries was advised by the NFL draft advisory board to stay at Florida for another season. He ignored it.
And that's turning out to be a pretty good decision.
Humphries has rocketed up draft boards, with some calling him a Day 1 starter at left tackle. And if were to fall all the way to 23, it's hard to envision a scenario in which the Detroit Lions don't take the Florida offensive lineman.
Detroit continued the process of vetting Humphries on Thursday by hosting him for a pre-draft visit to the team's Allen Park headquarters.
